That's an unfair statement to make. It isn't unreasonable to send students to study a more productive field if it's on the taxpayers dime. Plus, students who are interested in "less productive" fields of study can easily take on a double major or minor in said subject, and the self-study further if it interests them. Though I can concentrate on minors only when write my essay. How beneficial is it for students to get their "art history" degree and then end up as a Starbucks barista?
